WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE IS PROVIDED?
We reserve the right at any tme, to refuse any request that is deemed objectionable. We provide in-studio portraiture photography. By that, we do not do the following in-house, although such requests may be explored separately, on an ad-hoc basis. Proceeds from such shoots will also be channelled to the building fund.
a. Automobiles - there is no way we can fit a car into the studio, you can however wheel your bike, motorcycle in. BUT, there is no lift landing on our floor yet, so its two floors down, or up, if you choose to bring the wheels.
b. Dangerous stunts, like fire-eating. This is a hazard in any indoor setting and without pre-planned medical assistance.
Generally studio portraiture photography includes posed (glamour, artistic, themed), or candid shots, alone, with a loved one, family, friends, even pets, pregnancy and artistic nudes (solo). You get the idea.
We will NOT photograph questionable acts anytime or anywhere. We don't do shoots with racist or sexual undertones meant to cause provocation. Period.
1. Should I put on make-up?
Yes, for the women. Please consult your own makeup artist (MUA) if you have engaged one. If you are bringing your own MUA, please let us know in advance so that we can provision space for her/ him.
If you are putting on your own make up, apply it at home or where you usually do. This ensures that you get it right under comfortable and familiar settings and lighting. It also avoids a last-minute rush. You can touch up anytime before or during the shoot.
2. What to do the night before?
Drink plenty of fluids. This helps you look fresh. Up to a few nights beforehand, do try to get sufficient sleep. For men, do shave before coming over, unless that’s the look you’re after : )
3. What to do on the day?
Don't rush. Plan your trip beforehand, factor in enough time to be here early. If the day's studio schedule permits, the photographer would like to have a longer pre-shoot chat to ensure the shoot is fruitful for you. The photo-shoot is intended to be fun, so be happy : )
4. I have a newborn/ young child. What should I bring along?
Like any outing, bring more diapers and wipes, extra milk/ feed (we have hot water) AND extra clothes in case they get soiled. Their favourite toy and CD would be helpful to entertain and get their attention during the photo-shoot.
Do also pack more outfits that you'd like your child to be photographed in. Bright and cheerful colours are preferred - unless you prefer black & white prints.
5. Do you provide soft-copy images?
Each photograph is carefully edited and printed using professionally calibrated screens and printers. As this is a controlled process, we only provide prints.
